I’m an accountant and senior finance officer with more than 10 years of experience in tax and statutory compliance, payroll, management accounts and audit support for Nigerian businesses and non-profits.
About me
I keep a company’s financial records accurate, its taxes and regulatory filings current, and its management informed. My work ranges from daily bookkeeping in an ERP to year-end financial statements and external audits.
I have worked in a commercial setting, a health-focused non-profit and a growing payments company. That mix means I’m comfortable with budgets and variance analysis, fund disbursement controls, and the paperwork that regulators in Nigeria require.
What I do
Tax and statutory compliance
Tax clearance, TIN, VAT, WHT and CIT filings on Rev360, plus pension, ITF and NSITF certificates.
Financial reporting
Monthly management accounts, income statements, cash-flow reports and annual financial statements.
Payroll and PAYE
Payroll processing and reconciliation, with PAYE and other statutory deductions properly accounted for.
Payables and receivables
Supplier payments, customer collections and regular ledger reconciliations.
Budgets and cash flow
Budget preparation, actual-versus-budget comparison, variance analysis and expense control.
Audit and controls
Support for external and State Internal Revenue audits, and spotting discrepancies and control weaknesses.
Fixed assets and stock
Fixed assets registers, stocktaking and inventory control.
Bank reconciliation
Bank and ledger reconciliations, plus liaison with banks, auditors and tax consultants.
